 A huge success it was! We would like to thank the hardwork and warm welcome of the #revivetosurvive team and Houston , Texas! It is indeed an unforgettable moment showing Jason's special collection to celebrate fashion and raise funds for the Cancer Foundation in Sri Lanka. To have able to visit Texas and use it as a platform to showcase my work is a blessing and an adventure!

A Day in Color

There are no rules for inspiration, you have to have a quality view on things and my curiosity helps me to find inspiration in the most unconnected of strange situations. But there is no rule, or only one: Keep your eyes open.

Visited the town today and enjoyed everything I've seen. Everything is an inspiration It could be a random graffiti you see on a street to work or a very lush fabric . It is always lovely to surround yourself with beautiful things and it's always up to you to define what is beautiful in your world. Worked with some dresses today for clients and I will be posting them on my next post!

Kuei Alor in color

So proud to share with you Jason Chetcuti's creation worn by the sultry and fierce model,  Kuei Alor . Taking color blocking and art to the next level while translating the art of Bauhaus and Piet Mondrian into wearable couture. We can't help but to be reminded of the mindblowing  Lego shoes by Balenciaga and the adorable Chanel lego bags that left everyone swooning over them. Colors are powerful . They change the mood and atmosphere, they aid the senses , they beautify the world and Chetcuti's collection will always bring fashion in different strokes of colors for everyone!

ART meets FASHION

 A fashion collaboration to remember! Haute Couture designer, Jason Chetcuti teamed up with artist Terry Madden and milliner Brenda Lui to create a fashion event celebrating colours and stunning dresses and hats. The artworks of the great Terry Madden were translated into dresses which was made by Jason for months in preparation for this big event. The wonderful prints of the dresses were compounded splendidly by the amazing hand-made hats by the talented Brenda Lui. It was an experience of fashion and art indeed. An afternoon of tea and wine plus a fashion show which was intimately done was followed by the selling of the beautiful creations. Generally, fashion pieces shown in the runway will be sold a few months after the show but the viewers had a privilege to shop the pieces right after,

AUSSIE THREADS

Jason Chetcuti will be showcasing his collection of dazzling gowns and dresses for the fundraising event , Aussie Threads on the 13th of June, 2015. A night of fashion and charity to help Pediatric Cancer patients in Sri Lanka.  Click here for more information.

purchased beautiful laces in the fashion capital and was inspired to
created pieces that are like the children novel "the emperors new clothes"
I liked creating magical pieces which showed the beauty of the textiles
and revealed the female form."
